another weekend wrap up!

So last Thursday I went to see a surf flick as part of our Surfrider monthly meetings called, Blackwater: The story of Teahupoo. It's about the legendary wave in Tahiti which is really dangerous. It was like a rollercoaster ride watching it. Crazy! But really good!

Friday night Amy organized Karaoke at a unusually smokey bar in Culver City. I'll never listen to Quiet Riot quite the same way!

Sat was a bike ride and a trip to the MAC store and Old Navy (found a great pair of jeans-whoo hooo). Then later Guy and I went to 26 Beach Cafe and to see, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. It was funny and raunchy. I think I liked Wedding Crashers just a bit more though.

Sunday I drove Guy to the airport where he went to Sweden on business. I went for a walk on the beach and there were huge dead jellyfish everywhere. I saw it on the news about a kind people don't usually see in this area. They are kind of purple/black in color and from the pier you can really see them in the water. Mostly they look like they are dead, which, I can't be positive they are. At one point on the beach I walked by a dead stingray and dead jellyfish. Is that a bad sign of some sort? Hmmm. And I go in the water because.....???? Actually, the waves are so tiny they aren't even good for a beginner lately. Yeah, uh-huh, that's my excuse.

Anyway, tonight I decided to give yoga another chance at the gym, since I'm never going to get the motivation to lift weights myself. I generally find yoga to be boring, but I actually liked this teacher and the class went by fast. And yes, I was sore. Of course she says that she will be out for two weeks and we will have a substitute. Figures. :)
